The Flowers Are Still Growing

Ok, I know several of you guys – especially you who are living in 4 seasons countries – may be thinking “Seriously, floral again?” hahaha.. I really can’t get enough of florals! I knowww it’s fall-winter already but I’m really a summer girl and it’s still hot here in Jakarta. Well, actually rainy season is about to start here but when it’s not raining, then it’s totally hot. No mild weather here. *sad* Soo today I tried to give a fall-fashion touch to my outfit by wearing a long sleeve top (with embroidered flowers!) :D I’m not so into dark colors (which are trending rite now) but I do love sweaters, they’re my favorite for f/w season! But unfortunately I haven’t find a good one for me yet :(

Precious moments ♥ I actually wanted to post more pics but I’m afraid of making this blog too heavy to load. I had so many great experiences in these last 4 months and this amazes me… I never thought that those experiences would happen to me in my first months in Jakarta :D So far I’ve helped a seminar, played air soft gun with my classmates, conducted a social event, visited great places, and I even had a meeting with magazine for my duty as a publication staff for an international event! :D Those are never happened to me before and I’m so excited to wait for the other great experiences to come :3

Anyway, about the international event that I mentioned, it’s The 2013 Asian English Olympics which is held by Bina Nusantara English Club! For you who are interested in Debate, Scrabble, Storytelling, Speech, News casting, or Short movie making, and currently studying in senior high school/college/university all around Asia, let’s join us! For further info visit our website here. Don’t forget to follow us on twitter (@The2013AEO) too! ;)

Unicorn Rider

Oh yeah people. This is what you’ve been waiting for. I’m back!! So sorry for the hiatus. Once again blame my preparation before college start and the first-weeks-of-college-rush. Thank God I was finally able to manage a photo shoot in my auntie’s flat! Except the inconvenience to take great pics for my blog, living in Jakarta is quite interesting so far :D I initially thought that I won’t have many friends here but it turns out totally wrong. I got so many new friends here and so far I can tell that they’re extremely fun. Oh and have you read my diy flowery headband tutorial on Gogirl! Magazine Indonesia September Issue? :D Someone please get rid of Wake Me Up When September Ends song I had too much fun this month!!

I was wearing my new diy haul, guess which stuff is it. Yes it’s my necklace! And I’m going to give you my lovely readers the tutorial to make a triangle pendant necklace like mineee ♥ I made it with cardboard, printed images and a used chocolate tray. I know you guys bored with those DIY sites which keep telling you to save the chocolate tray and use it as ice tray or pudding mold. AND also those which keep telling you to make a stationary organizer or photo frame with cardboard. That’s so nineties I say :p So you guys should try the tutorial below. I’m a true inventor, am not I haha. Thank me later :p

Photobucket
What you’ll need: Printed images (don’t need to print them on glossy photo paper if you don’t have one. I’ll tell you how to make them glossy with a simple way), gold/silver chocolate tray, double-tip, wide transparent tape, scissor, cardboard, needle, chains.

Photobucket
Photobucket
1. Cover your printed image with wide transparent tape so it’ll look glossy. Make sure you cover the whole image. Then, stick double-tip to the back side of the printed image. Cut the image to triangle shape. You can adjust the size. Now you have a “glossy triangle sticker” :D If you gonna make your pendant two-sided, then repeat the steps to the second image.

Photobucket
2. Stick the sticker to cardboard. With pencil and ruler, draw straight lines around the sticker (give margins between the sticker and your lines). Cut the cardboard.

Photobucket
3. Cut the side of chocolate tray lengthwise, suit their length to your triangle cardboard. Stick double-tip to their back sides and then stick them to the sides of your triangle cardboard.

Photobucket
4. We’re almost done! We need a small hole to make the pendant “a pendant” riteee? :D So make it with a sewing needle. Put thread or wire into the hole and last touch, put your pendant into the chains ♥

Head-to-toe details: thrifted lennon glasses, Forever 21 denim summer vest worn as inner, Gaudi asymmetrical tee, DIY triangle pendant necklace, customized denim mini skirt, sideways cross ring from Needle N’ Thread, rainbow silly bands, vintage purse from Galz Closet One, AdorableProjects pink suede boots.

Lemme In To The Fairy Tale

Hello readers! Hellooo August! Whoa. Why does time fly too fast it’s August already?? 4 months left and we’ll enter 2013! :o (if all those prophecies about end of the world or what-so-ever aren’t true) And in less than one month I’ll leave Manado to Jakarta! Look how fast life goes on. Sometimes I wonder to be a teenager again.. oh well, I’m 18 and still a teenager haha, but however, from now I can’t act like a child anymore and there will be a lot more things to do myself. And you know that being a college student isn’t as easy as being a high school student, don’t you? Lol… I’m thinking about so many things lately, like which meals that are healthy yet easy to prepare (for I’ll live aboard), my health, my parents’ struggles for me (yea...), and also things that I want to do before I die :D Here’s the recap:
1. Marry my soulmate. Yup, I believe soulmates are exist! And off course having kids with him in a comfortable house. May God grant my wishes :)
2. Watch a match of Germany national football team or Bayern München against oh-who-so-ever, and take a pic with Holger Badstuber or Philipp Lahm. I’ve been dreaming this since I was 12 and until now I still desperately want it.
3. Be a stylist or fashion editor for magazine or own a boutique. Or maybe all at once. (well, I often change my mind about what I wanna work in the future. I think I fit in many fields. However I want to work for what I love. The main point is I want to be happy, not just success :D ).
4. Do something remarkable like being a top fashion blogger!
5. Go to London. And if God wills, I wanna attend London Fashion Week. *drooling*
I know I should list at least 10 but I’m still thinking about the rest haha :D

I just unfollowed 2 bloggers who have commented my previous posts asking for follow-for-follow. I had followed them but they didn't follow me back as they promised. Well, I know some bloggers don't online everyday. But I found they've posted new posts just few days ago. So it means that they have checked their followers and my comments but didn't fulfill their promise. Sorry for mention but I think I have to. Just in case y'all my readers don't wanna be fooled by them. They are: http://rebellishoes.blogspot.***/ and http://teenfashiondiary.blogspot.***/

New Dimension

Aloha! We meet again, fellas and chicks :) How’s summer? Mine is pretty nice! I always love summer – the atmosphere, warm sunshine, and absolutely the trends from S/S collections ♡ The only thing I don’t like about summer is when the weather goes too hot xD but I’m still in my long school holiday here so I don’t have to be troubled by it. Formerly, when the clock showed that school’s finish, but no one can take me home with car, I always got bothered by summer heat and grumbled all the way to home. But now I miss that moment. It’s getting closer to the end of holiday and I’m going to Jakarta in about 30 days. Yes, 30 days left :( I’m a true explorer and I always love good change, but it feels sooo hard to leave Manado. My random stuffs, my room, the foods, my friends, my bf, and off course, my family. But studying outside Manado has been my desire since I was younger. So I’m sure I’ll overcome all the problem that may appear and also homesick attack. God bless me :)

Just registered my DIY vintage glasses with 3D lenses to patent agents.. I’m planning to register my page too! :D I’m so sick with people who don’t understand the difference of “inspired” and “imitating”… Quoting Lala Bohang, be inspired by what you see; never steal what inspire you :)

Anyway, I know this is a little late but I wanna wish you a happy July, readers! :D

Support FAB (Fashion Against Bullying)!

It’s such an honor to receive an invitation from What I Wear to join Support FAB (Fashion Against Bullying) campaign. Fashion bullying is real. It does happen especially in the places with less liberality and individual rights appreciation. I’ve experienced a kind of fashion bullying too, so I fully support FAB and made a FAB t-shirt (welll, the t-shirt is now a one shoulder top after the cuts, actually ;p). I also share my story here :D I hope my story can inspire and spread hope to the world ;)

Photobucket

If you think that only fat people got bullied, then you’re totally wrong. Maybe average people out there think that being skinny is good; hell yeah, supermodels are skinny. And I know that some people desperately want to be skinny. But instead of receiving compliments, I got bullied because of my (super) skinny body. Actually people around me didn’t mean to bully me and my skinny look. They just told me how skinny I am and I have to gain more meat on my bones. Sometimes, they also tell me not to wear those clothes, you’ll look skinnier; wear these clothes and you won’t look that skinny. Eat more, do that exercise, all those things. I knew they didn’t mean to bully me but to be honest, it made me feel uncomfortable and not confidence with my own body.
Above all of those pressures, I’ve experienced worse bullying when I was in junior high school. I still remember when a boy in my school accused that I wore fake bo*bs to look curvy and sexy. For me, it was just another way from him of saying “you’re too skinny, how come you have curve?”. I was so angry that time. For some time, I let their words pulled me down. I used to be so picky at buying clothes. I often refrained from buying clothes that I wanted so bad just because those clothes don’t look good on skinny people. I also ate more and took food supplements. But my scale stuck at the same number for 3 years (I’m sure all of you who are struggling to lose some weight envy at me rite now). So then, as I grown up, I began to accept the fact that I’m skinny. I realized that instead of wasting my time to hate my own body, I should be grateful with what God gives to me. What’s wrong with being skinny? I got the body like Korean stars’! Hahaha. And this mindset is also true for those who think they’re fat. Just start thinking that you’re not fat; you’re curvy. And curves are sexy! You don’t know that skinnies are suffering from bullying too. Nobody’s perfect, so let’s learn to love our imperfect body perfectly. Enjoy life!
